You cant always go by these youtubers out there as they are not always correct on the info they provide. Its also not going to be avail till late q4 or next year and I imagine the price will make the Neo and G9 look cheap. It would be like having a 32" 1080 monitor instead of 1440. Then new 45" Bendable is a 3440x1440 and to me that seems a low of a res for that size of a screen. I also think it will be another year or so until we see a OLED in the ratio/size of the G9. I had a G7 as a side monitor for watching TV or video while I play on the G9 and my son had 2 G7 which he did the same used 1 to game and 1 to watch TV/Videos. I replaced the 3 G7s I had with G8's and not a 1 has dead pixel or the freaky yellow spot Hardware sample had. I know it seem Hardware Unbox gave it a bad review and just like the new G8 they hated on it as well. I know it has gotten a lot of bad reviews but I havnt had a single issue out of mine. Yes the Neo G9 is still a great route to take. The Arizona officials methodically debunked claims including false allegations that Italians had used satellites to infiltrate voting devices in the county and that election officials had flown in thousands of ballots from Asia. Officials from Maricopa County, Ariz., discussed debunked yet ongoing conspiracy theories, often championed by Trump supporters, alleging widespread fraud in the county’s 2020 election results. But organizers are quick to stress that it would be difficult to exploit the vulnerabilities on a large scale, and in many cases attackers would need to have physical access to the machines. The findings have fueled calls to move back to using paper ballots or machines with paper records to verify votes. The 2019 edition exposed vulnerabilities in various machines that participants said could allow vote tallies to be changed, ballots to be displayed incorrectly, and internal software to be altered. In some spots, groups of hackers crowded around tables to physically pull apart machines. “What we try to do is to make certain that the right message gets out.” That “right message,” he said, is that elections are safer because researchers are searching out these vulnerabilities.Īt this year’s Voting Village, hundreds of attendees wandered among tables in a cavernous conference room at Caesar’s Forum, inspecting ballot scanners, voter registration devices and computers running voter database software. “When it’s in a digital format, the misuse of clips is inevitable,” Hursti said. Hursti noted the organizers can’t control how that news footage is used once it gets out in the world. Hursti said other 2020 candidates also used clips from DEF CON to cast doubt on the security of elections. “All the security improvements hampered by all the false claims, conspiracies - and fighting those,” Hursti said.įollowing the 2020 presidential election, then-President Donald Trump tweeted out an NBC News report from DEF CON to allege security flaws in equipment from voting machine company Dominion. The issue is personal for the hackers who come to the Voting Village, many of whom have spent years both researching election security and pushing election equipment manufacturers to publicly disclose these vulnerabilities - a move many of the companies have opposed. To this end we use node-migrate, “Abstract migration framework for node” with a custom “state storage” module at src/persistence/postgres-state-storage.js, you can see postgres-state-storage on GitHub, it’s lifted and slightly adapted from the node-migrate documentation. Since we’re using Postgres with the Node Postgres ( pg on npm) driver (instead of an ORM like Sequelize), we need to set up a system to get our relationa database’s schema in order. Ideally one could also use husky and/or lint-staged to run the linter/formatter on commit or push. Npm run lint will run just xo which is a lint run without overwriting any of the code. Npm run format will run xo -fix, which leans on prettier to format all the code. It’s set up with prettier and spaces instead of tabs. This project uses xo, the “JavaScript happiness style linter”. bin/start.js, which means it’ll restart if any of the JavaScript changes. Internally it’s accessible at postgres:5432 ( :), hence why we set _URL to start command for the app service is npm start, as defined in the Dockerfile, but docker-compose.yml overrides it CMD with npm run dev which runs the application using nodemon (auto-restart on file change).Īnother point of interest are the entries. The connection string is (username, password and database name are defined in the block of docker-compose.yaml). Postgres is exposed on the host (dev machine, not Docker containers) port 35432. An incredible unbelievable car chase was filmed on the Western Boulevard (to the consternation of Capetonians last year, when this road was regularly closed for filming) and at the bottom end of Adderley Street, near the station. He shared that he did not have much time to see the tourist side of the city, but when his family came to visit, it ‘forced me to go see everything as quickly as I could. The Cape Argus has reported that Reynolds said that Cape Town ‘is my favourite city I’ve shot in’, a fantastic accolade. The trailer and the movie open with a beautiful shot of Lion’s Head in the foreground, across Table Bay, and onto the Paarl mountains covered in southeaster clouds, to audience applause! Local actress Lynita Crofford stars very briefly in the movie. Reynolds was blown away by the beauty of Cape Town, and his favourite memory of the city was eating at Mzoli’s. Cape Town was chosen above Rio de Janeiro because it ‘had more infrastructure than Rio’, said Reynolds in an interview.ĭuring their time in the city, Reynolds and Washington climbed Lion’s Head, visited the Garden Route, lived in the One&Only Cape Town, and were spotted in numerous local restaurants. The Weekend Argus reports that Rio de Janeiro was the preferred location for the movie, the script calling for a ‘safe house’ to be as far away as possible from the USA. Reynolds has expressed his love for the city in interviews, an excellent ambassador for Cape Town. The movie ‘Safe House’, starring Denzil Washington and Ryan Reynolds, which was released internationally yesterday, does Cape Town proud, with most of the scenes in the two-hour film shot in the city over a five month period last year. |
